We are always very proud of our students and encourage their competitive spirit. We do not require anyone
to attend tournaments, as part of our training, but we do fully support and encourage anyone who does choose to compete in
the sport. And we have some real champions here.
Congratulations to Nathan Wooldridge, who as an orange belt
competed in his very first tournament at Hall's High School on Feb. 27th. He took third in both kata and kumite.
We are very proud of you. You did a great job.
Congratulations to Papa Diouf, who fought in his second Black
belt fight at the tournament at Hall's High School on Feb. 27. Taking 2nd place. Great job Papa. We are very
proud of you.

Adam Deffinger and Papa Diouff 2nd Degree Ni-Dans, Danny Collins now
1st Degree Sho-Dan, and Tracy Bellows Blue belt, with Master Gregg McMahan and wife Donna McMahan. These guys really enjoy
competing in the tournaments, they train hard and never come home empty handed. We are very proud of them all and to call
them family.

2014 Hall of Fame Tournament |
Isaac Stout recently earned his 2nd Degree Black belt and has been
training with us for about 8 years now. He has been competing in tournaments for at least 7 years and has never came home
with anything less than 2nd place and that is rare. He is a talented athlete, and he trains very hard. He is also an Eagle
Scout, makes great grades, and is a very likeable and respectable young man. We are very proud to have him in our Karate Family.

Isaac 2014 Hall of Fame Tournament |

Competing in tournaments is a great way to test what we have learned in
the Dojo. Win or lose, it is a learning experience and encourages us to work harder in class and at home.
Isaac has quite a collection of trophies, and continues to train hard
and improve his techniques. Soon will be adding weapons trophies, to his kata and kumite collection.
Aaron Wiles, First Tournament |
|
Aaron has only been with us for a few months, but shows great
talent for the sport and is very competitive, so he had no problem taking first place in his very first tournament. He had
a lot of fun and will continue to compete.
